About Us

Meridian Implement offers Farm Equipment, Lawn & Garden Equipment and Snowmobiles. The dealership opened for business in April 1966. Dennis and Shirley Gearhart came to the dealership as owner/manager in July 1971.

Previously, Dennis Gearhart was a territory manager from 1966 to 1971, calling on dealers in Illinois, Iowa and Michigan. Located at 1011 South Meridian Road in Rockford, IL, Meridian Implement provides customers with new and used Farm Equipment, Tractors, Combines, and Hay Equipment.

We offer full line parts and service departments for farm equipment, lawn and garden equipment, snowmobiles, ATVS, and antique equipment. Our parts department also offers a large selection of toys and collectibles as well as OEM and aftermarket parts for all the lines we represent.  We have over a million dollars of parts on our shelves.  Our service departments are staffed with personnel who are trained to service all makes & models, from the old two-cylinders to new generation and 4-wheel drive tractors.  We pride ourselves on being a reliable source for two-cylinder parts and providing complete service of two-cylinder tractors.

The Lawn & Garden Shop - Compact Construction Equipment Shop  services all makes & models of lawn and garden tractors, skid loaders, compact tractors,  ATVS, snowmobiles, and handheld power equipment.  Meridian has achieved Stihl's "Elite Dealer" status, which ranks us in the top 10% of all Stihl dealers.    We are committed to ongoing factory training in all the lines we represent and are proud of Rick Petero's successful completion of Stihl's "Gold Certified" training in Virginia Beach, VA in January of 2012.We also have a Lawn & Garden Shop, which services lawn and garden tractors, skid loaders, compact tractors, ATVS, snowmobiles, and handheld.
